Stefanie is an economist turned writing coach who understands women's need for voice and self-care.
She grew up in a bilingual household, lived abroad for more than half of her life and travelled a lot for work while starting a family with her husband. Creative writing changed Stefanie's life, offering her a space to de-stress and find fulfilment beyond her job. Stefanie's dream is to share the great health benefits of writing with women who lead hectic lives and have little time for themselves.
Stefanie studied in her native Germany and Spain before moving to the USA in 2007 and Austria in 2014. Languages: German (mother tongue), Danish (mother tongue), English (fluent), Spanish (fluent), French (advanced).
Stefanie completed the writing coaching programme of the Writer's Studio in Vienna. She has published in several academic journals (Journal of Income Distribution, International Migrations, World Development and European Sociological Review) as well as in blogs, e.g. at Brookings Institution.
Stefanie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, a Master of Science in Economics and a PhD in Political and Social Sciences. She was a visiting student at Harvard University and a postdoctoral research fellow at Princeton University. Since 2009 she has been working as an economist in an international organisation in the field of development cooperation.
